New Click & Collect Details – Plus New Beers This Week
Welcome to the latest instalment of our blog and news release. In today’s entry we are going to talk about a change in our delivery services and take a look at some of the new craft beers that have come into stock with us this week.
New Click and Collection Schedule
From Monday this coming week (29th June) we are stopping our local delivery service and moving across to a click and collection service. This service will mean that local customers and people who wish to collect their order from us, can now order from our website and collect their orders order the same day. To collect your order the same day, orders must be placed online before 14.00 and will be ready for collection from the pub from 16.00 onwards.
As many of our local customers know, during lockdown the pub was turned into something of a warehouse as we grew and expanded our online presence. From the outset we always wanted to reopen the pub and following the governments guidelines, we are planning to reopen on the 4th July.
To facilitate this and effectively serve both our local customers and new customers from further afield, we have moved our online stock and operations into a large warehouse in North Wales. By doing this and continuing to grow our online presence, we are able to keep adding new beers every week and reopen the pub as planned.
Whilst we have tried to offer local delivery for as long as possible, it is no longer feasible for us to do so and reopen the pub at the same time, so we have opted to move to a click and collect model for local customers and/or any customers who plan on visiting us.
In the coming weeks we will also be revamping our P&P options and costs – this will be beneficial to both our local and national customers, as we are looking to reduce costs and improve the range of our delivery areas. This will be especially beneficial for customers in remote regions of the UK.
New Beers This Week
On to the much more interesting subject of new beers and we begin this week by introducing some new releases from Chapter Brew Co. Chapter are based in Sutton Weaver, near Runcorn and brew some great tasting beers.
New in this week from Chapter is That Old Rope IPA – it’s a west Coast IPA with a distinct bitterness, yet it has a fresh rose-like aroma on the nose.
This is perfect for sipping on when chilled and is the perfect IPA to enjoy in back garden when the sun is high in the sky.
It is 5.4% ABV and they are sold individually.
Another very popular addition this week from Chapter that has been well received is the ”Suffering is an Art” Raspberry Sour. This has an enormous amount of raspberry flavour and leaves a pleasant aftertaste.
In addition to this from Chapter, a new imperial stout has also arrived with us. This is a heavyweight of a stout at 10% ABV and is best enjoyed chilled in good company alongside a hearty meal.
We have also managed to restock a number of their much loved mini casks. These are now available here on our website.
Also new in this week are three new beers from famed Welsh brewery Polly’s. This includes the absolutely fantastic ”Hazy Definition Pale Ale” (pictured above), Rock The Bit IPA and the Slow Burn Berliner Weisse.
As with nearly all of Polly’s brews, these latest additions are truly magical. At present, we are only a handful of craft beer retails who have these available online and we only have limited stock of them. Don’t miss out on these – once they are gone – they are gone!
Also new in this week is an IPA from Spanish brewery Garage.
This IPA, known as ”SOUP IPA” is a big, juicy IPA. It’s a New England style beer is loaded up with hops to give you a burst of juicy, tropical fruit, then as with their US cousins, a delicate malt base makes this silky and delicious on the finish.
As well as this IPA, Garage also brew some other great tasting beers, including Porters, Session IPA and Boutique IPA.
