Listen to our latest podcast

In the past couple of weeks we have had a lot of new beers come in to us here at The Beer Lab. In today’s entry, I am going to share with you some of the new beers we’ve had arrive with us and talk a little about the breweries that they have come from.

Polly’s

Everyone seems to love Polly’s Brew Co. at the moment and it’s easy to see why – their beers are absolutely amazing and taste fantastic. Due to the proximity of their brewery to us (they are based in Mold, Flintshire) we are able to personally visit them every Friday to collect the latest releases.

Pollys Soul Control

So far this month, Polly’s have released a number of popular IPAs. One of the most popular ones has been their cherry flavoured IPA – known as Soul Control (pictured).

This smooth, great tasting IPA is 6.2% ABV and has been well reviewed already, by both customers and staff alike.

Additionally, they have also released another heavyweight of an IPA, named simply as…’What Did You Feel?’. This is a mighty fine IPA and although it’s quite potent at 6.8% ABV, it is still smooth and easy to drink.

Given that we are in mid summer, it would be rude to not mention the ”Heavy Sunshine” IPA from Polly’s as well. This is a rounded, hazy juicebomb of a beer, perfect for enjoying sat in the summer sunshine.

In turning our attention to the always popular Porter and Stouts range we stock here – it’s important to mention the Wiper and True Milkshake Stout. We recently posted about this stout on social media and it gained a lot of interest – and rightly so. It is an amazing stout, made using sugar from cow’s milk to give the beer a sweet, creamy tone. Additionally, the brewers have then added a ridiculous amount of chocolate malts and vanilla pods to create a rich, velvety and delicious stout. Well worth a try if you haven’t already!

Bragdy Mona

Bragdy Mona - Pabo - Session Pale

Another deliver we had last week came personally from Meurig, from the Bragdy Mona brewery in Anglesey. He came by and dropped a number of beers to us, including an IPA, a session ale and a witbier.

The cans look as good as they taste and it’s always nice to see a newer brewery creating some great tasting beers.

These have been quite popular already here at The Beer Lab, with the Session Pale Ale already receiving a 5 star review from from one of our online customers.

At present, from the Bragdy Mona Brewery, we have two pale ales, a witbier and a session pale ale.

Verdant Beers

Brewed in Falmouth, Cornwall, Verdant beers epitomise quality craft beers. Their beers use only the best ingredients and are always brewed to a high standard. As such, their new releases are always well anticipated by craft beer affectionados and enthusiasts, both here in the UK and also further afield.

In the past week we have had two new beers arrive from Verdant and these include the the ”Headband” – a quality pale ale that comes in a 5.5% ABV and the ”Safety Flares” – another quality pale ale that exudes artisan standard brewing.

Another new addition to the site are our new range of gift vouchers. These make a perfect present for beer lovers and with Father’s Day coming up, they will make a very thoughtful gift.
